This piece is a history of hidden layers of my struggle to create a sense of movement in my thesis work.  There are about four paintings hidden under this final work, all in various staged of my development of this series.  I am happy with the final result - blue and reds tend to vibrate next to each other naturally because of the way our eyes read them together, and this phenomenon adds to the vibrancy of this piece.  The uppermost figure is being lifted by a partner below her, and you can see various stage of their dance in sections of arms and legs all over the canvas.  I used oil paints, oil sticks, and charcoal to achieve the repetitious lines.
